Update, March 22th
Vogt Valves srl - Italy update
With the new Decree no.6 of March 22,2020 the Italian Government adopted more stringent rules which include a closure of all non-essential production activities and a ban from moving across municipalities other than for “non-deferrable and proven business or health reasons or other urgent matters” until April 3rd, 2020.

Therefore we need to highlight that the stringent measures adopted by the Italian Government to limit the outbreak of the virus are now forcing us to acknowledge the block of our production activities until April 3rd for our plant in Italy.

Business activities not directly related to production as well as those related to sales quotation, order processing, project management, engineering and purchasing will continue as normal as we have implemented smart working solutions in all our departments and in most of our offsite offices.

Update, March 16th
Vogt Valves inc. management team is closely monitoring the complex and rapidly evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation as part of our strong commitment to ensure the safety of our employees whilst working towards mitigating any possible impact to our customers' operations.
We are following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to ensure we are making consistent, fact-based decisions about our activities and operations. Our highest priority remains the health and safety of our customers, associates, partners and communities.

During these uncertain times, we encourage the need to practice an abundance of caution to protect everyone’s health. Therefore, effective immediately, all non-essential, in-person meetings and events are suspended for the next 30 days (as of March 12, 2020). We will continue to assess all meetings and events throughout this period and communicate any additional changes as necessary. During this time, we highly encouraged the use of technology such as video conferences and virtual meeting software to replace any in-person need.

What Vogt Valves is doing:

  • Our group cross-functional risk management team is closely following guidance from the CDC and the WHO to actively monitor the situation and make decisions as appropriate.
  • Safety and cleanliness are priorities. Now more than ever, associates are focused on maintaining hygiene and implementing sanitization protocols recommended by the CDC.
  • We are preparing for the continuity of our operations by introducing telecommuting for all staff associates and staggered shifts at plant level and production supporting staff to increase the physical distance among employees and others as recommended by the state and local authorities. Contact your representative by mail to understand their new working schedule.
  • We are committed to sharing new information as it becomes available.

What we need from you:

In addition to suspending or canceling non-essential meetings, please follow these safeguards:

  • We are asking our vendors to continue to provide Vogt Valves purchasing officers updates on the supply chain, so we can better plan for customer projects.
  • Local supplier representatives should not visit Vogt Valves inc. offices if they are experiencing any respiratory symptoms such as: fever, cough, shortness of breath, etc.
  • Follow the CDC’s social distancing guidelines.
  • Follow the CDC’s recommendation for proper hygiene.

We appreciate all you are currently doing during this challenging time and the work you are doing to support our company with our planning and preparation.
